Hi Brno,

120-300 / 2.8 seems like a fantastic marriage between the right zoom and perfect apperture. Too bad that in the shown photos a 2x extender is used. This makes it hard to judge, as an extender can take (a lot of) quality away.

The shown images are rather small and do look pretty soft. Nevertheless I'm curious what this lens will do without the extender, as it seems like a great zoom from specifications.

Cheers,
Iwan

Appears to be an awesome lens! If you look at the non tc photo's the DOF is simply amazing! Though I am not a huge Sigma fan, this lens looks really promising I guess. But still 2K+ is quit a lot of money for most of use, then I wonder is it will be worth it instead of an L prime...

Mark

The test is with a full frame camera, with a crop he`s normally a bit better. It look like a amazing lens! With 2x converter
a bit soft, but with 1.4 converter very good.

I have to agree with that, but still after searching the internet for results of the new sigma they still don't convince me in the price they ask for it. This might be an interesting link as well : A Flickr Photostream with 120-300 2.8 OS pictures

And then the price... okay it's not as much as a Canon 300 L 2.8 IS prime. Then again stated at 2299 euro's at Fotokonijnenberg it's still quit expensive...
