Can you show us an example? Plus at what aperture are you shooting? The Sweetspot of the 100-400mm is f8 and f11 at which it is at its sharpest.Nickdj wrote:Hey guys,
I havent used myEF100-400mm lens for a while but today i decided to go and shoot some photos. However, i noticed that the lens is
rather soft at 400mm. Can this be due to the age of the lens? (got it 2004)
Is there a possibility to have it repaired/improved?
let me know!
cheers
Nick
I used a (Nikon) lense which is more than 15 years old and sharpness is still the same as 15 years ago. So I don't think it's the age.Nickdj wrote:Can this be due to the age of the lens? (got it 2004)
It's possible that his lens shifted a bit during use.EHAM wrote:I used a (Nikon) lense which is more than 15 years old and sharpness is still the same as 15 years ago. So I don't think it's the age.Nickdj wrote:Can this be due to the age of the lens? (got it 2004)

Nickdj wrote:what do you guys think?

Nickdj wrote:what do you guys think?
