Reply # 8 - Yesterday :: 14:27:58 Quote And now, the information "first hand" 40 minutes ago, at the headquarters of long-range aircraft completed a public meeting under the leadership of the Air Force Commander Alexander Zelin, dedicated to celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Air Force. The meeting was attended by Commander of the Air Force, as well as almost all of the former Air Force Commander. Our site at the event were Oleg Chernikov, and your humble servant. Chernikov Asked about the countries that will be submitted to the Chief aviapokaze Zhukovsky were announced the following countries, which accurately confirmed their participation (of the organ. document on March 29): 1. Great Britain 2. United States 3. Italy 4. Turkey 5. France 6. Poland 7. Finland 8. Israel :!: 9. "Baltic bees." The participation of other countries have solved :?: . Also in Zhukovsky, will be presented virtually all types of aircraft standing on the arms :!: , as well as retro-planes. When asked about the place-based "Swifts" and "Knights," Zelin said, once again that "There are no commands to relocate the group did not receive." In 2012, the Yak-130 aircraft for a new aerobatic team did not arrive. Against the backdrop of "Swifts"

Maybe I missed something in previous posts but is there any conformation that Zhukovsky base will open to the public during August 11th and 12th?

So far I read that there will be a flight of historic aircraft over Moscow and a parade of aircraft over Zhukovsky/Moscow. I do see messages mentioning an airshow and a festival at Zhukovsky but am wondering of any of this is based on direct contact or assumptions/google translations.

The whole event sounds very interesting to witness, but I am wondering if this will be similar to France's bastille day fly pasts or, hopefully, Turkey's 100 year event last year!

For your info: the information I've found is through google translate (with sometimes rather strange translations).

It's rather difficult how to see the different website's informations from a spotter's point of view. For example the representatives of 69 countries. Are these only vip's, do they come with the regular civil airlines or do they arrive with goverment planes of perhaps will they display military planes? (besides the display teams of course)

Anyway: through google translate of ru.spotting.net at http://ruspotting.net/index.php?app=cor ... o=01&HID=6
or go to http://ruspotting.net and go to subject "official actions and reports" and click on "announcement" and go to topic "august 11-12 the 100th anniversary of the air force"

Mentioned is:
"highlight will be the parade on 12 august. Which will be held in Zhukovsky, and who will be able to visit everyone. According to A.Zelin, tickets for his release is not planned".

Again difficult from a spotter's point of view and won't unfortunately answer the question: is that on or from outside the base"?

The "listnumbers" and type numbers seems to be a bit mixed up:

Programnr. 15 will be 4 Su-27?
Programnr. 16 will be 4 Su-34?
Programnr. 17 will be Su-34s ?
Programnr. 30 will be 2 F-15's from Israel?
Programnr. 31 will be Mb-339 Frecce Tricolory?
Programnr. 32 will be 5 Su-27 and 4 MiG29?
Programnr. 34 will be 6 Su25?

Thank you very much for explaining and I guess the other translated mails also provide some extra info. As the words 'static' and 'airshow' are mentioned, concerning several types on the list, I am thinking that there will be a static as well as an airshow at Zhukovsky.
On the other hand the mentioning of other airbases, mostly airbases which are home to the mentioned types in the same line as those bases, makes me think these types will operate from their home base and participate in an flying parade, so will not be present at Zhukovsky as these are not mentioned as such on the list.

Not trying to make any assumptions but trying to understand all info as good as possible.

Someone better tell the Russians some of the display teams take longer than 15 minutes for their routine!

In all seriousness, that's an outstanding line up! Can't wait for the show now! :worship: :respect:
