I went to Etain today... it was a nice day.

EC-665/Tigre
TBM-700 [oeps, not Xingu edit]
Puma 7x (one very nice dessert camo & huge gun on static)

Nice airpower demo, complete with bad-guys with AK-47,s and two AMX tanks !
the choppers came so close I could read off the numbers !
2 exta Gazelle,s in hangar/ on ramp
1 extra Puma (dessert camo "W") on ramp, can be seen when leaving the base.

Static is as usual rubbish to photograph and it looks like you'll face the sun in the afternoon (if it shines). When driving from the gate to the parking you pass a stored Gazelle and Puma. You'll not pass it when you'll leave, because they direct you to another gate. So get them when you can!

The SA.316B at the gate was read as
No 1769 MYR
The Gazelle was No 1101 3/3RHC

Anyone for the Gazelle that did a solo-display on sunday afternoon please?

Additional movements for Sunday:

*** Falcon 900 AdlA (no registration visible from outside the field; arrived around 10.00 to deliver some VIPS for some ceremony in the vicinity; left again around 13.30 after the party had returned)

Frank,
It was a Falcon 7X. They are unmarked externally.
Any SBS logs from that part of the world that might identify it?

Hi Andy,

just got home from work and I'm sorry to say we are both wrong... :? Looking at my pictures it turned out to be a Falcon 900 :oops: Then again, we were both right as it carried no visible markings... on the starboard side at least :wink: Still would like to know which one it was though, just as I'm still hoping someone read off the solo-Gazelle on Sunday...

Frank is the entrance from the aircraft open on you pic? Perhaps the serial is on the steps from the entrance.

Yes, it is... but it's on the other side... and the heatwaves aren't exactly helping either...:

Did anyone happen to catch it (in photo or else) on take-off? It took of from rwy 19, so it had the other side facing the crowd; perhaps that could shed some light on its identity..

The Falcon 900 brought Premier François Fillon I was told.

Can't find no readable no. either on my pictures.

Wasn't at Etain, but i checked out SBS and the 4/FQ was noted at a Southern Belgium SBS station at the 26th at 09.45 descending, and was picked up climbing again at 13.00 local time.
