Airbase Graf Ignatiev will celebrate its 60th ANNIVERSARY WITH FLIGHTS, CHARITABLE AND CIVIL INITIATIVES

On March 17, 2011 is celebrating 60 years of airbase Graf Ignatievo.
In line with the policy of command of the Air Force for active participation of servicemen in socially significant activities and events, vision and command of the airbase Graf Ignatievo personnel seek to assume and implement civic initiatives, as an expression of its direct institutional responsibility.
In this respect, and celebrate its 60 years of his air base organized two events preceding the date of the anniversary itself, March 17, 2011 - a charity photo exhibition and a campaign to plant 60 trees in the Municipality of Plovdiv and the Maritsa Municipality.
Exhibition "Wings for each child will be held under the patronage of the Chief of Air Force Major-General Konstantin Popov and the Regional Governor of Plovdiv Mr. Ivan Totev on March 7, 2011 in Novotel Plovdiv.
It will contain attractive aviation photographs and landscapes, the proceeds of the sale will be made available for the development of gifted children and children with potential to continue their education from their homes for children deprived of parental care in Plovdiv.
For all citizens and aviolyubiteli, the exhibition will be presented in the period from 28 February to 06 March at Novotel Plovdiv.
In parallel, the command of the air base has made a call to the Social Assistance Directorate - Plovdiv, children aged between 14 and 17 years of specialized institutions to visit the division on its anniversary, where you can examine its infrastructure, will observe the demonstration and flights will be introduced to career opportunities in the Air Force and air base of Graf Ignatievo.
Campaign for the reforestation of 60 trees will take place in part within the Graf Ignatievo as an expression of gratitude to the population of the village and the traditionally good relations which supports command with the Mayor's office, in the person of Mr. Ivan Semerdjiev.
The base is still in negotiations with the municipality on the park territory, which will be done planting the rest of the trees. Addressed an invitation to Mr. Slavcho Atanasov, Mayor of Plovdiv to become patron of the eco-event.
The idea of command in the campaign for forestation, which organizes the EC with voluntary funds collected from staff air base to attract the participation of children from kindergarten or school, located near the park area designated for planting.
The culmination of the celebration will be March 17, 2011 in Graf Ignatievo Airbase. The program of the event are provided flights of MiG-21 fighters and MiG-29 and many other surprises.
