Looking at the Cxema for the BIAF, the show will be held on the southern side of the airfield. Was this also the case on previous events or is this new? Does anyone have any comments on the flying distances with the current layout?

They also held it at that side in 2009. Distance seemed similar as at western-European airshows to me, not too far, not terribly close either. The Migs flew straight from their homebase, but it was possible to make decent take-off pictures of the SU-25. Also, the CSAR demo could be clearly watched from the crowd, so most definitely not a bad position for the public, in my opinion.

Careful with the OVT, it is apparently not 100% certain yet. The intention and financial agreement are there, but still administrative problems to sort out.

At least one Italian Typhoon is going to fly piloted by EADS test pilot. EADS will bring Me-109 on static display.
There are still some negotiations wit the Solo Turk team but it will probably participate.
