Kisarazu Airshow

Post by Michiel »

Below 2 links to some small films off the take-off during Kisarazu Airshow.
Maybe the Dutch Army Open days can learn something from this!

22015/LR	LR-1
23056/LR	LR-2
I would like to have confirmation of the Cobras. When I got home I noticed I only had 7 numbers, while there were 8 in the flypast. The 8th was read from pictures, but now I am not sure I got all of them correctly.

Elsewhere
41706 UH-1J
41907 UH-1J
31283 OH-6D
52904 CH-47J
52913 CH-47J	(15?)
52921/HGPIII	CH-47J
52967/HGPIII	CH-47JA
43125 UH-60JA
After the mass take off (great capture in those movies) and the mass flypast the choppers landed all at the other side of the field. Some then performed flight demonstrations and finally some of the choppers were put on the static, including the two Hueys which otherwise would probably not have been read.

All in all, a very great morning at Kisarazu, excellent show, great planes and I even got some nice Japanese snacks after the displays :)

Erwin

Erwin,

I checked my logs and I have some remarks.

The AH-1S in the mass flypast was the 73445 instead of the 73446.
The OH-6D 31126 in one of the hangars is a preserved one too.
The Chinook with serial 52954 was a CH-47JA
I read the CH-47 on the otherside as code 15 instead of code 13.
In one of the closed hangars (but visible through the doors) was the other EC-225LP 01021 and a CH-47J with code 33.

Regards,

Michiel

I have no picture of the AH-1S, so I will take your word for it.
The OH-6D is indeed listed as preserved. I can also remember finding it a weird plane, as it didn't have the normal codes on the frame.
Checked the CH-47 on pictures and it is a CH-47JA indeed.
THe 13 or 15... that one is difficult. I read it from two positions and usually I am pretty sure. However, the Scramble DB lists the 15 as being with the unit on Kisarazu, the 13 is based elsewhere (and not seen for some time).

Thanks for the remarks!

73446 was seen at Metabaru in may and october 2009 as IIIATH.

That's correct we saw the 73446 on the airshow of Metabaru of the 18th of October.

But I have the 73445 also photoproof on the flightline of Kisarazu, so I am sure.

Michiel
