Last weekend typhoon Morakot brought devastation to the southern part of the island. In 3 days we had more than 2 meters of water. Many bridges and roads in the mountainous areas were completely destoyed and many villages are completely cut off and some villages have disappeared completely under mudstreams. So the military is busy with a huge rescue and salvage operation. The only way to reach the villages is by air. They fly in supplies and take back people. That is why it was decided to cancel all open houses for the next time and direct all resources to helping the people in the southern part of the island.
