Edwards Air Show 17 October

In the air show list on Scramble, they mentioned an Edwards Air Show in october 2009:
This week I received the following e-mail from the Edwards PAO:

Sir,

We don't know if we will be having an air show yet this year, I expect
that we will but you can check our Web site http://www.edwards.af.mil" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for more
information when we get it or you can call us back in a few weeks we
expect to know by then.

Hi

I received an email from Edwards public enquiries office today. It confirmed that there would be an open house and airshow this year on 17 OR 18 Oct. When they know more details they will post them on the edwards website.

With credit to Fence Check, the show seems confirmed on both days.
From Mojave Desert News Thursday Feb 26, 2009

EDWARDS- Major General David Eichorn, Commander of the Air Force Flight Test Center at Edwards Air Force Base, announced last week that a rare treat would be in store for attendees at this year's open house at the base.

"While we were unable to get scheduled for the Thunderbirds at our open house," the general told the audience at a recent Business Outlook Conference, "We were informed this week that we definitely will have the Canadian Armed Forces Snowbirds to perform for the open house."

The base open house, a demonstration of much of the base's capability and also Air Force assets will be open to the general public and will take place on October 17 and 18.

I just received an email about the airshowdates. The date is now only Saturday 17 October according to the PAO (Shoffner, Dennis G Civ USAF AFMC 95 ABW/PA).

Beneath some quotes from his email.
"Our open house and air show is slated for Saturday, 17 October. The Thunderbirds will not be performing here this year. For now, that's all we know for sure. When we get more details we'll post them on our website, http://www.edwards.af.mil" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

I replied to verify if only the airshow was on Saturday. This was his reply
"Saturday only. One day. The final decision was made just last week."
