I will be attending the spotters day at Karup probebly be from the outside, what size lens would i need,would a
300f4 be ok

Check the airport section. Karup is not very good from the outside

I got 'picked up' by the authorities here while walking around the base in 1993. Dense forest surrounds the base most of the time..

Has been quite a while for me (early 2000s), but approach at (if I'm correct) eastern side near gas station was doable for landing shots. Guess is 300/400mm

You should have no problem somewhere around 500 metres back from the approach if they are landing from the east.
Drink treble
See double
Act single

and the Emir called up his jet fighters
