This is actually fantastic as far as instructional videos go.
Because whenever I see a forklift, I always think of how hilarious this video was,
therefore I'm always reminded of forklift safety every single time I see one.
I don't even do anything remotely close to a forklift.
If Germany had forklifts on the front lines they never would have lost the war.
Dammit Klaus, you just murdered another co-worker. Now get back to work.
Klaus, you managed to murder five people on your first day! Including yourself! How does anyone do that??
I think I know what was going on: the makers of this video were starving for a chance to make a slasher movie.
But the best that they got was a forklift safety video.
And then they thought:
if this is the only chance we got, then BY GOD,
this is gonna be the best slasher forklift safety video ever made!
What does it take to get fired in Germany?!
I remember investigating this man when we worked for the FBI.

Legend has it Klaus and his forklift are still chuntering along the autobahn,
striking fear into laborers across the land.
It is said his victims on the fork are replaced daily,
to remind the blue collars of safe working practices and proper forklift protocols.

OVT-columnist Philip Freriks krijgt live op de radio zijn congé

Journalist en tv-presentator Philip Freriks heeft op een merkwaardige manier
te horen gekregen dat hij zijn laatste column voor OVT heeft gemaakt.
In het radioprogramma van de VPRO op NPO Radio 1
namen de presentatoren na het voorlezen van de column afscheid van hem.
Freriks had daar duidelijk niet op gerekend:

"De eerlijkheid gebiedt ons te zeggen dat wij tot onze grote spijt
afscheid van je gaan nemen als columnist,
omdat je carrière zo'n ontzettend hoge vlucht heeft genomen in de finale van je bestaan",
zei presentator Jos Palm.
Freriks was met stomheid geslagen.
"Ik verbaas mij een beetje dat mij dat hier rechtstreeks in de uitzending wordt medegedeeld",
zei hij, "maar het zij zo, dank je wel."
Presentator Laura Stek zei vervolgens dat ze dachten
dat Freriks er zelf voor had gekozen,
waarop hij zei daar niet rechtstreeks in de uitzending over te willen discussiëren.
Palm concludeerde dat er sprake was van een ernstig misverstand
en bood zijn excuses aan.
"Ja, nou ja, oké", reageerde Freriks, waarop hij de studio verliet.
Stek voegde eraan toe dat "we dit straks even moeten uitpraten",
en dat dit was misgegaan omdat ze dachten
dat Freriks zelf wilde stoppen met de column.
