good idea but, i use a Nokia N95 and the Scramble forum works good for me. It is fast, easy to post and to read. Never used the database but hey i don't need that in the field.

So no need for me, for a mobile version. Anyone other experiences?

With the Nokia you nead to do alot of scrolling over the forum page. Posting is possible, but not recommended... as it takes quite long with a telephone keyboard. But that has nothing to do with a mobile site, but more to do with my mobile itself.
I would prefer a mobile forum (at least), as Chris does. Perhaps with less grphx and banners etc. this way it will load faster true GPRS.

I second that, less banners and graphics would help a lot.

i have a Samsung f700 with umts uplink... it works quite good aswell... only it is a bit heavy on data traffic... perhaps a mobile version of the forum with only movements is a good option?? so you can browse easy through the movements of the airbase of your choice??\

grtz..

With Opera browser on HTC no problems with the current website. I would also go for a Text only, 'image less' mobile site for speed and kb reduction.

Maybe quick link to forums / Sis updates.

All,

Currently we are working on a new setup of the site (looooong term project!). For that we were also considering a mobile version for some parts of the site. But this has a lower priority - and the issue even might be outdated by the technology then generally available.

Kind regards,

Hans
