Zimbabwe Air Force loses trainer aircraft

On 24 November 2020 a most likely SIAI-Marchetti SF260 of the Zimbabwe Air Force's 6sq Aspire To Achieve, crashed at a farm near Dabuka Railway Station, near Gweru under unknown circumstances. Sadly both occupants were killed on impact.

It had taken off from Thornhill Air Base, now renamed Josiah Tungamirai Air Force Base, and crashed just after 14:00 hours local time, while attempting to turn back to the air base.

Military police arrived at the scene thirty minutes after the crash and cordoned off the area.
