When you drink, don't drive

On 11 March 2021, a Ukrainian Air Force (VVS Ukraine) MiG-29 (serial 08 white, msn 2960731239) of the 40th Tactical Aviation Brigade, sustained damage when a Volkswagen Touran collided with it at Vasyl'kiv Air Base.

Pictures on the internet show one of the burned engines of a fighter jet and a damaged car.

The MiG was being towed when it was hit by the Touran, driven by an officer of the air force, who was intoxicated.

As a result of the collision, the fighter caught fire and received quite some damage.

The 40th Tactical Aviation Brigade (40 BrTA) comprises two units, 1 AE and 2 AE. Both units operate the L-39C Albatros and a variety of MiG-29s.
