On 7 October 2023, Spanish Navy Eslla 004 Cessna 550 Citation II U.20-1/01-405 made a runway excursion at Getafe airfield near Madrid (Spain).

 

At this moment there appears to be minor damage to the landing gear and the underside of the aircraft. To repair the Citation seems unlikely because it is now about forty-years-old.

 

Earlier, Scramble Magazine wrote about the possible replacement of the Spanish Navy Citations. There is a good chance that this aircraft will eventually turn up in the nearby situated Spanish military aviation museum of Cuatro Vientos.
