RAF' BAe146 CC2 final flight

As Scramble reported earlier on 23 January 2022, the Royal Air Force is waving its British Aerospace BAe146s goodbye.

While BAe146 CC2 ZE701 arrived at the Imperial War Museum at Duxford aerodrome already on 24 January, the second machine of its type with serial ZE700 has now found its way to a museum too.

It was flown to the South Wales Aviation Museum at St Athan on 17 March 2022. Piloting the aircraft on its final flight was Wing Commander Delia Chadwick, the current Commanding Officer of No.32 Squadron. which until now operated the transport.

The jet was introduced in 1986 and initially used by the Queen’s Flight and later by No. 32 (The Royal) Squadron. It was then used to transport senior government ministers, and Ministry of Defence personnel.
