On 31 March 2022, the Qatar Emiri Air Force (QEAF) accepted the first two NH90-NFH naval mission helicopters during an official hand over ceremony at Leonardo’s Venice Tessera final assembly line (Italy).

The QEAF has ordered both NH90 subtypes, the NH90-TTH and the NH90-NFH. Qatar’s NH90 programme includes sixteen NH90-TTHs for land operations, twelve NH90-NFHs for naval missions, a comprehensive support, maintenance & training services package and associated infrastructure.

The first NH90-TTH was handed over at Bordeaux-Marignane (France) to the QEAF in December 2021.

The programme has the potential to be extended in the future with the addition of six + six units in a mixture of TTH and NFH variants.

Deliveries of the current 28 helicopters will continue through to 2025.

The following serials have been allocated to the QEAF NH90 fleet:

NH90-TTH: QA250 - QA265 (16x) built at Marignane (France)
NH90-NFH: QA266 - QA277 (12x) built at Venice Tessera (Italy)
