Norwegian Spitfire homebound

In an earlier post, Scramble reported on the first flight of Vickers Supermarine Spitfire EN570 from Biggin Hill on 22 April. The Spitfire, registered as LN-AOA, is a T9 two seater rebuild of LF Mk.IX EN570 (c/n 6S/223722).

As can be read in the post of 24 April LN-AOA is destined for the Norwegian Flying Aces. Its delivery flight is planned to start in the morning of 9 May.  The Spitfire will then depart Biggin Hill for the first leg of its flight home.

Norwegian Flying Aces’ chief pilot Rolf Meum will bring her to Norway, with stops at Lelystad, Odense, Säve and Torp before final flight into Notodden, Norway. Follow the aircraft at Flightradar call sign LN-AOA.

Flying Aces will have an open hangar event to welcome the aircraft, there will be no landings fee at Notodden for visiting aircraft and everyone is welcome.
