New fixed wing aircraft for Spain's Guardia Civil

Already back in 2017, the El Servicio Aéreo de la Guardia Civil (SAER, Guardia Civil Air Service) began the process of acquiring a light aerial platform.

Months later, the SAER revealed that the type of aircraft to be acquired was the Beechcraft 350i Super King Air.

Atis Ibérica Inc. was the company in charge of supplying the aircraft and its integrated equipment. The company acquired the 2011-built Beech 350i Super King Air with registration N21EN (construction number FL-755) to be prepared for its future mission.

After some further modifications and pilot training flights the King Air is expected to be delivered for active service later this year.

The serial of the aircraft is DT.05-01 (10224) and it is coded 09-601, corresponding to the sixth type of aircraft that SAER has incorporated since its creation in 1973.

The serial indicates that the primary mission of the Beech will focus on maritime patrol (D), similar to the D.4 CN235VIGMA SAR aircraft of the Ejército del Aire (EdA, Spanish Air Force). The additional ‘T’ in the serial indicates an additional role as transport aircraft.
