Lebanese Cayuse Warrior mishap

An Al Quwwat al-Jawwiya al-Lubnania (LAF, Lebanese Air Force) MD530F+ with serial L170x (c/n 31.FF) of 17 Squadron, made an emergency landing and crash landed in some trees, near Hadath al-Jabba, in the north of Lebanon, on 5 January 2022.

The crew allegedly performed an emergency landing that resulted in a tail boom and main rotor separation. There are no casualties reported.

The MD530F+ helicopters only arrived last October, all six of them on a Boeing 747 freighter, at Beirut.
