Last two G120TPs delivered to Ecuador

The last two of an order for eight Grob G120TP two-seat turboprop training aircraft are on their way for delivery to the Fuerza Aérea Ecuatoriana (FAE, Ecuador Air Force).

Both G120TPs, ferry registrations D-EGAQ (c/n 11173) and D-EGAR (c/n 11174), started their long delivery flight through Memmingen and Prestwick on the 20 January 2022, heading to Salinas/Ulpiano Paz via Iceland and they will make various stops in North America and Central America.

There they will join the six already operated by the Escuadrón de Entrenamiento Aéreo 2411 Linces of the Escuela Militar de Aviación (ESMA) Cosme Rennella.

The original contract was for eight aircraft with an option for eight more. It is not known if that option was taken up.
