First Cape Verde Coast Guard King Air
On 15 November 2023, a Textron Aviation King Air 360ER for the Guarda Costeira Caboverdane (Cape Verde Coast Guard) was seen at the manufaturers facility in Wichita (KS).
The aircraft, serial FACV-7101, made its first test flight. The King Air will be delivered in a Medical Evacuation configuration (MEDAVEC). Next to that, various improvements will be installed to carry out inspection, search and rescue and maritime patrol missions. It is reported that the aircraft will go through a process to incorporate ISR (Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance) capability.
Delivery of the new King Air, to be operated by the Esquadrilha Aérea at Sao Pedro/Cesaria Evora International, is planned for the 1st quarter of 2024.
