Dominican Republic FARD Ce501 Rafael Marti 640Dominican Citation in camo

Recently, a photo emerged on social media of a as yet unknown Cessna 501 Citation business jet of the Fuerza Aerea de Republica Dominicana (Dominican Republic Air Force).

Interestingly, the aircraft has been painted in standard air force two-tone tactical grey camouflage.

A few years back, both a Falcon 50 and a Gulfstream II were said to have been earmarked to fly as presidential transports in the Dominican Republic. The Gulfstream II had been applied serial 1551 and FARD-titles, retaining its original VIP-colours.

The colours and serial 3505 may indicate a tactical use of the Citation involved beyond its transportation duties.

The Citation 501 involved was recently imported to the Dominican Republic as N220HM (c/n 501-0182) and officially handed over to the air force on 14 May 2022.
