Azerbaijan SBS Mi-17 crash

This morning, 30 November 2021, Mi-17-1V with serial 20136 of the Azerbaijan Dövlət Sərhəd Xidməti (DSX, SBS/State Border Service) crashed while performing training flights at the Garaheybat air range, located on the territory of the Khizi district.

Fourteen people were killed and two injured in the accident.

An investigation into the crash has been opened.

The SBS has five squadrons operating the Mi-17-1V. Given the location we assume the chopper originated from Yeni Türkan (3-cu Eskadrilya), but needs confirmation.
