Another Nighthawk to be displayed

On 19 May 2023, USAF 436th Airlift Wing C-5M Super Galaxy 85-0002 arrived at Robins AFB (GA) as "Hagar 91".

At first glance nothing special, but earlier the day it departed Tonopah, Nevada Test and Training Range (NV) with F-117A Nighthawk 81-10794 stowed in its belly.

The Super Galaxy delivered the retired F-117A from Tonopah, to become part of the Museum of Aviation near Robins AFB (GA).

The Nighthawk will temporarily be placed in the Museum’s Amphitheater in front of Hangar Two, the Century of Flight building.

After that, it will be relocated to a maintenance area located at the back of the Museum’s property. Eventually, as expected, more F-117As will find a new home.

On 2 February 2023, Scramble Magazine wrote about the F-117A; While being disposed of, USAF's Nighthawk gets third or fourth life .

As for the Museum of Aviation; The next expected acquisition, following the Nighthawk, will be an obsolete Boeing E-8C Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (JSTARS) with serial number 00-2000/GA. Earlier, Scramble Magazine wrote about the first USAF JSTARS being retired .
