Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Thanks for the fun reactions.

All pictures were taken landside, outside the fences.

As you can imagine spotting in Russia is not as normal as in our parts of the world.
There is however a growing number of russian spotters and the authorities are getting used
to seeing people with cameras around the airport.
However, Vnukovo has a VIP terminal and is home to the governement fleet, this may lead to higer security status.
In the days we were there we were not approached by police or security.

In short: there are possibilities but you have to remain low profile.

As for the Mi8's, and the other interesting planes around, my travel companion made a huge log that will hopefully find its way into the Scramble magazine.

can you also please tell us some more about the security situation at and around the airport ?

Were there other spotters around.. pls elaborate !!!
Hello,Rene!May i answer your question :)
Vnukovo is one of the inconvenient airports in Russia...

I have recently took photos at Vnukovo.Situation with security is difficult, especially when government planes are flying.
The best place for spotting in Vnukovo now is cramed with the old airplanes which obstruct airfield view.
There are very few spotters in this airport.

There are some photos from my last spotting in Vnukovo.Excuse me for bad quality..weather was too bad
