25 October 1958

North American T-28A Trojan, serial 51-7856/TL-856 was present on the static at Olmsted AFB (PA). Just after delivery, the Trojan was operated by the 3575th PTG at Vance AFB (OK). Unfortunately, the aircraft crash-landed on 28 October 1954 at Vance. It was assigned to the Middletown Air Depot at Olmsted AFB, most probably as an instructional airframe. (photo via Dick Lohuis)
