The gates officially opened at 07.00 hours but before that is was already possible to enter the base. There was only a flying program in the morning and this meant that you were facing the sun during the demos. The C-130s brought some foreign dignitaries and military attachés from countries that have political relations with Taiwan. The Fokker 50 brought some 3 star generals. The F-5s on the static were especially for this occasion painted in the old colors again.
