Budapest Air Parade

20 August 2021

On August 20 this year, the Hungarian Armed Forces are preparing for a large-scale air parade
in Budapest over the Danube, between the Chain Bridge and Margaret Bridge.
Although the aerial program started after 9 in the morning, already at 8 o'clock many people
started to gather on both sides of the Danube bank, and after 9:30 a good place had to be found
around the barrier.
The weather in Budapest played a bit of a prank on those who arrived, it was indeed cool and cloudy
in the morning, making the photos a bit gray, but you cook with what you can. Of course, there are
no complaints about the show!

Before the program over the Danube, three Gripens with so-called "smokewinders" at
the end of the wings, in the colors symbolizing the national flag, arrived over
Kossuth Square, as the end of the St. Stephen's Day ceremony, flag raising and clean-up

And in closing. The parachute team made jumps from the Mi-17 carrier. Here you can
see the target tapes under the plane, which can decide when to leave the plane on
the ground and in the air by their movement when descending to the ground, so that
they arrive at the "target" during the descent
