Obviously a very rare aircraft was visiting from 8.00-10.30h on 26.05. in the shape of FAP/Esq 601 P-3C 14809. It departed to Siauliai and will presumably operate in connection with BALTOPS 2023. Hopefully it will come back again on a later date.
It was the first visit of a Portuguese Orion at Nordholz and only the second or third in Germany at all in 37 years of operations of this type in Portugal.

are the civil 'war birds' like the alpha jets parked outside in the weekend and are photos of them possible?

In general, everything is stored inside. There are 3 makeshift shelters (basically tents) on the area where alpha jets can be parked, but you won't see a lot more then the nose / cockpit section.

Take the Claudius-Dornier-Strasse, follow the dirt track up the hill.

This evening south of Jevenstedt a Sea Lynx or Super Lynx flew by low. Anyone for the serial?

Do you know if this visit is linked to the Egyptian Navy Frigates in Bremerhaven? The second one was handed over on the 26th of May, the third should follow later this year.

Currently flying from Nordholz, according to ADSB, is Top Aces Alpha Jet C-GZTO, coded 016.
This one is new for me, did new ones arrive this last month?
