Probably no clearance for Austria and Switzerland to cross with fighters. This is different from transport aircraft.

F-16 wise, the older German number crunchers are not going to be impressed, as all of those jets were delivered through Ramstein in 1992/1993.

679 is completwly white, no markings and not even a registration, so 679 is only coming from adsb

On the latest pictures from Malta the serial is not worn extern. Also no roundel anymore. I think this is an old picture
