The four "new" ships:
- PL-72 - Grob G 102 Astir CS Jeans - purchased in Germany on 07/11/2008 - c/n 2122 - ex: D-2532. This glider has taken over the registration of the PL-72 n°1 a Grob G 102 Standard Astir III wfu and sold in 2005
- PL-73 - Grob G 102 Astir CS Jeans - purchased in Germany on 19/09/2008 - c/n 2050 - ex: D-3889. This glider has taken over the registration of the PL-73 n°1 a Centrair C 101A Pégase wfu and sold in 2005
These two gliders replaced the two G 102 Astir CS Jeans PL-76 & PL-77 written off in 2008. The PL-76 was damaged beyond economical repair during a field-landing near Bertrix AB on August 15th, 2008. Crudely repaired the PL-76 wreck will be used by the RBAC as a static recruiting display object. The PL-77 was destroyed in a crash landing at Weelde AB on April 3rd, 2008.

- PL-97 - Grob G103A Twin Astir II Acro - purchased in the UK on 01/07/2009 - c/n 33961-K-194 - ex: RAF ZE612/R71 BGA3064; G-DEYS
These two gliders were purchased as replacement aircraft in the framework of the soon withdrawal from use of the four remaining first generation G 103 Twin Astir I (PL-81/-84/-85 & -86).
