Three minor injuries reported; anyone with a working knowledge of Italian and Italian websites who has more info?
According to newspaper Corriere della Sera the Airbus originated from Rome-Fiumicino and had 143 pax on board; 10 of them are now reported as slightly injured. Cause given by the newspaper is a difficult landing in rain, compounded by windshear.

A Windjet Airbus A319-100, registration EI-EDM performing flight IV-243 from Rome Fiumicino to Palermo (Italy) with 143 passengers and 6 crew, was approaching Palermo in thunderstorms and windshear. The airplane veered off the runway and came to a stop off the runway, an evacuation via slides was initiated. Three passengers received minor injuries in the evacuation.
Italy's ANSV have launched an investigation.
The aerodrome is currently closed, closure is estimated until 01:00L Sep 25th.
