Su-22 8308 used to have a special paint scheme (flames) on the nose, which can still be seen through the current layer of paint!

Hi Mungo,

Had a look at the site, some excellent shots on the site as well (and from my home base at Leuchars ;>)). My compliments.

You clearly were shooting on the spotter's day before the show. Did you or anyone manage to get onto the south ramp amongst the stored Mig-29s and Albatros? Like to see these shots too if you have any :>)

Best regards

Hello Rick,

it was very difficult to get some good shots on the media day on friday. In the flightline I came to the second aircraft before i was catched by security. It was not possible to get any pictures from the south ramp because there was an active apron between the ramp and us. All old MIG-29 were not visible during the days.

Best regards

Morning Lars,

Thank you for reply, much appreciated. Pity access was restricted as we counted 14 aircraft at that end and seems like the access was not too great anyway. This makes the shots you did get all the better and are indeed worth checking on your website. Really great ones, wish I had taken some similar.
Don't suppose you got a photo of the Polish Su-22 on that south ramp beside the Czech Mil-25, the one that did not fly?

Best regards
Rick
