Yet more fun in Japan. Misawa.

Post by Motty »

The third base we visited was Misawa, waaaayyy up north. Ironically, despite the snow on the surrounding mountains and still on the ground in some spots, it still wasn't as cold as Hyakuri.

Unfortunately, the weather still didn't co-operate but where else can you see F-16s and F-2s operating together?

Once again, a huge thank you to jake Melampy for the invite and everyone at Misawa for allowing me the chance to go.

The poor light made me try settings I would never have tried otherwise. At least a couple worked.

Mmmm, F-2s. I love that blue camo scheme.

The JASDF also operate Hawkeyes from Misawa.

Okay, so the weather did not cooperate. But some nice "wet runway reflection" pictures you got there... 8)

The fuel tanks on those F-2's are huge, never noticed that before. But then, I've only seen F-2's in pictures... Still love the colors on those!

Nice pics, I'd like to see more!
