We drew a blank on Sunday 27th, with only 2 Ospreys ground-running, so we went back on Tuesday 29th after hearing that only one had ground-run on the Monday. We were hoping for some Osprey flying as most of us hadn't seen a USAF osprey airborne before. It was a long day waiting, and by mid-afternoon the sunshine from the morning had gone and was replaced by cloud, rain and a cold wind. Still we waited, and eventually after a lot of activity around the Ospreys all afternoon, two taxied and took off just before 1900L. They then performed several pairs circuits before flying off for some local familiarisation.
These are just a few 'holding' shots until I have time to go through mine properly and do some better editing. The quality's not good, I shot at ISO640, having forgotten to decrease it to compensate for the brighter sky after shooting them at that setting whilst taxying.
These are more 'record' shots than high-quality artwork, I know they're not brilliant. I will replace them once I have checked & edited the rest of my pics. I was across at Mildenhall all day yesterday again and am at work today, hence the delay.
