Requesting background information.

Post by Martijn »

Hello all,

I saw this helicopter standing at the Maasvlakte Rotterdam. I'm am wondering if this helicopter is going to the scrap heap or is it going to fly again in the future? Also I have no idea from what country this one is, because I could not find any information on the internet, I also tried airliners.net.

Thanx in advance for the information,

With kind regards,

Martijn.

Very nice shot !

It's PZL-Swidnik W-3AM "Sokol" c/n 370814 "119" / HL9449, regd. 26dec2007 as such. (as far as I know only carried marks "119", the Korean emergency service number), Choong Nam Fire Department ex reg. Choong Nam "001" (rgd. 10dec1999), Pol.Navy:0814. Original built as c/n 360814, but the helicopter was modified from W-3WARM to W-3AM standards.

I've no info about the future of the helicopter.
