Very nice piece of work! Looks like a great few days in Whiskey country.
I only know Lossie from first hand and recognised the locations from where you took the images. Is the flightline at Leuchars that close to the fence?

Thanks for the nice comments guys...

We initially wanted to fly with Ryanair from Bremen, but the general feeling of Ryanair being unsympathetic (and especially to large heavy camerabags and excess luggage in general) made us fly with KLM AMS-EDI for only 70 euro more or so, and we had a much more convenient flight schedule (enabling us to do the gliders and the museum on sunday afternoon)..

And yes Hans, look at the Rafale picture, the Raffles and Tucanoes were on the neerest flightline. Treble one operates from its own HAS complex, and the 43 Sqn line was visible but too far away to take decent pics of...

Have done some more editing of this the trip today, to my surprise the take-off shots of the "Eurobombers" came out better than feared...(don't have a super prime 300/400mm lense..)

Taking off with what look like standard 1000lb "dumb" bombs...

and some landing shots I'm really pleased with.. Starting to like the Typhoon more and more now that they become operational aircraft..

nikon 4,5-5,6/70-300 VR...not bad in sunny conditions, but at maximum telezoomlevel shots tend to get soft sometimes......
