Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Hi all, I am a new subscriber to Scramble, just thought you might like to see a shot of test vehicle one (US101). I caught her carrying out circuits at Pax River.

The US 101 is the trial version in the replacement of "Marine 1".
It is expected to replace the President Helo fleet within the coming years.

Welcome Si,

If you look closely, it looks like the official type is painted on the side VH-71. Can't seem to read the serial though. Did you see it yourself ?

I hear the VH-71 is plagued with new demands and updates almost daily. WIth all demands stacked together, i think the Americans would almost have been better of looking for a UFO type of gadget (just kidding).

Keep on posting, it's nice to see a fellow enthusiast from the States here at this Dutch (international looking) website.

Cheers,
Iwan

Thanks for the comments guys, I was at a meeting in Pax near the Test pilots Schoold when I caught this bird. Apparently it is an ex Italian airframe registration was CS XS 1495.
