As usual I visited AYT in September. This time I organised a tour in concert with our handling agent for 10 fellow enthousiasts from Australia, South Africa, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Germany ,giving them 5 full days ramp access in AYT. It was a VIP tour. During the day we could go whereever we wanted to go. I organised a nice air conditioned van , including loads of cold drinks available in the bus. We spend our time along the taxiway in the morning, and in the late afternoon. The rest of the day we simply cruised the ramps with our van and got everythig we wanted. Not a single plane was missed. We feared that due to the crises the Russian traffic would be down. Nevertheless we noticed a steady flow of russians.

Very interesting report and photos. I wonder why you didn't make any photos during the landing of take-off phase? I personally like those angles and type of 'action' photos.

Hi Evert, we look forward to seeing your photos then next time :D

But seriously everybody has and is entitled to his own taste. In this case the temperature was between 32 and 38 degrees during the day. Except for the first and last hours of daylight that means that you get (a lot of) heathwaves on any photos shot beyond 40 meters.

Just incredible this airport !!! Very beautiful pictures. How much cost this Tour for example ?

the tour for next year will cost approx 500-600 pp for ramp pass, photpermit, 4 star hotel half board, food and bevarages on the ramp plus a dedicated driver/van

(btw, look at the Jordan Aviation 737 picture and note the difference of the Nordwind stars :shock: )
