Subaru Bell delivers 1st 412EPX to Japan National Police Agency

On 19 May the Japan National Police Agency took delivery of its first Subaru Bell 412EPX which it ordered during the Paris Air Show of 2019. The heli is registered JA412X (39102) and is also the first delivered Subaru Bell 412EPX ever. It flew for the first time on 17 February of this year.

The Subaru Bell 412EPX is a joint-venture between Subaru (formerly known as Fuji Heavy Industries) and is the commercial version of the UH-2, the jointly developed and modified by Subaru and Bell of the 412EPI for the Japan Ground Self Defence Force. The JGSDF has 150 UH-2s on order which will be used to replace its current fleet of UH-1Js.
