Southwest firms options on MAXs

During the presentation of its Q3-2021 results, Southwest Airlines has announced it has firmed options on sixteen B737-7s. Eight are scheduled for delivery in 2022 and the other eight in 2023.

With this latest deal, Southwest now has firmly ordered a total of 399 B737MAXs, consisting of 216 B737-7s and 183 B737-8s. So far, the airline has taken delivery 69 B737-8s.
