REX acquires National Jet Express

On 30 September, REX Airlines (Regional Express) announced it has completed the acquisition of National Jet Express from Cobham Aviation Services Australia. With this acquisition, REX solidifies its position as Australia's largest independent airline as well as its expansion plans. The National Jet Express-fleet is set to be rebranded to REX as it currently operates under the Cobham-brand.

In total, the REX-fleet will now grow with four BAe146-300s (to be phased-out), eight DHC-8-400s and six ERJ190s. REX itself today operates seven B737-800s and 58 Saab 340Bs.
