Norse Atlantic Airways takes delivery of 1st aircraft

On 20 December, Norse Atlantic Airways took delivery of its first aircraft, Boeing B787-9 OE-LNY (63346). The Dreamliner, which is leased via BOC Aviation will become LN-FNB and is christened Rondane (one of Norwegian's largest national parks). It was warmly welcomed with a ceremony at Oslo after a short ferry-flight from Warsaw.

In total, Norse Atlantic, has signed lease-agreements for twelve B787-9s, which are all former Norwegian-aircraft. Deliveries of the remaining eleven will continue until April and the aircraft will initially be parked at Oslo while the airline prepares to launch in Spring 2022.

Norse Atlantic will start serving three routes from Oslo: Fort Lauderdale (FL), Ontario (CA) and Stewart (NY). Later, Norse will also fly out of London-Gatwick and Paris-Charles de Gaulle to cities in the US. To be able to do so, the airline has started proceedings to obtain an Air Operators Certificate (AOC) in the UK.
