Maltese start-up Valletta Airlines receives AOC

The number of small carriers focusing on Aircraft, Maintenance, Crew, and Insurance (ACMI)-operations on Malta keeps on growing. This time, newcomer Valletta Airlines received its Air Operator's Certificate (AOC).

The new airline is planning to add three Airbus A320s and two A330-200s before the end of this year. It's first registered aircraft is A320 9H-NZL (2388), which was added to the Maltese register on 31 January 2023. The Airbus was previously in use as LY-NZL with Heston Airlines and should currently be parked at Varna.
