Maldivian orders additional ATRs

On 19 September 2023, Maldivian announced it has ordered additional ATRs, which the airline will use to replace older generation turboprops in the fleet. In total, the airline placed a firm order for two more ATR42-600s.

The duo will join a fleet of one ATR42-600, and two ATR72-600s already in use. Next to these, Maldivian is also operating a single Airbus A320, eleven DeHavilland DHC-6-300s, two DHC-8-200s, and seven DHC-8-300s.
