Hongyuan Group orders B777-300ERSFs

The Hongyuan Group has announced it has signed an agreement with Israel Aerospace Industries -IAI for eleven Boeing B777-300ERSFs. The deal also includes options on nine additional "Big Twins".

The plan is to place the aircraft at Air Belgium (of which Hongyuan owns 49%) and Jiangxi Cargo Airlines (44% owned by Hongyuan), although the exact breakdown of how many will go to which airline is unknown. First delivery of a B777-300ERSF is scheduled in the third quarter of 2024.

IAI has teamed-up with lessor AerCap to develop the B777-300ERSF and the manufacturer hopes to secure the Supplemental Type Certificate before the end of this year, with delivery to launch customer Kalitta following soon.
