GECAS and Kalitta add more B777-300ERSFs

Lessor GECAS, which has embarked on a joint-venture with IAI to develop the B777-300ERSF, has decided to exercise options on three aircraft. The leasing giant now has a total of eighteen of the "Big Twin" on order, with twelve remaining options.

At the same time, Kalitta Air, increased its lease-agreement with GECAS with two additional B777-300ERSFs, taking the total of planned aircraft to five. The US cargo carrier is the Big Twin's launch customer and expects the first aircraft in 2023.
