Frontier Airlines retires A319

On 8 September, Frontier Airlines conducted the last flight with the A319. The aircraft involved, N949FR (2857) carried out flight 391 from Nashville (TN) to Denver (CO) and was welcomed with a water salute by the Denver Airport fire brigade. The retirement of its final A319 is part of the airline's fleet modernization plan.

Over the years, Frontier Airlines operated 53 A319s. Now, its fleet is made up of nineteen A320s, 71 A320neos and 21 A321s. The airline also has open orders and lease-agreements for around 140 new A320neos and A321neos.
