FlyArna's 1st aircraft painted

Armenian start-up FlyArna's first aircraft has emerged from the paintshop and is nearing delivery in the coming days. The aircraft, currently registered OE-LAP (6782) will be registered ER-YRA and is being readied for delivery at Ostrava. It is leased via SMBC Aviation Capital.

Earlier this month, the airline received its Air Operators Certificate (AOC), clearing the way for the airline to launch operations. Originally, FlyArna planned to launch in May but is now planning to launch in June 2022.

FlyArna will be a low-cost airline and is a joint-venture between the Armenian National Interests Fund (ANIF) and the Air Arabia Group. ANIF owns 51% of the shares and Air Arabia Group the rest. The airline will be based at Yerevan and will utilise aircraft sourced from Air Arabia.
